Dear Colleague:

Thank you for your interest in sponsoring the BioScience Forum (BioSF). I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with details about the BioSF (, and the genuine benefits of becoming a sponsor of our non-profit organization.

The BioSF is focused on providing high-quality opportunities for professionals working in the Life Sciences and related academic, financial, and service industries to learn about the latest advances in our field, while also providing an excellent forum for the type of networking that fuels much of the growth we have seen in the last 30 years. We do that in part by drawing upon over 2,500 professionals in our expanding email database who work in Bay Area pharmaceutical, biotechnology, investment, and life science companies, as well as academic, government, and other non-profit institutions.

A unique strength of the BioSF is the cross-functional background of our members and speakers. An organization like ours can best serve the bioscience profession by fostering multi-disciplinary interactions and learning experiences within the expanded context of intellectually curious colleagues gathered for the specific purposes of networking and learning from local, industry-leading experts.

The speakers at our monthly meetings have addressed topics such as product development and clinical trials, regulatory affairs, marketing, venture and equity funding, basic research, and industry trends. In previous years, speakers have come from institutions including UC Berkeley and UC San Francisco, BioCentury, Genentech, Exelixis, Soffinova Ventures, and Stanford University. Our ability to attract high quality speakers continues, as our posted speaker schedule shows.

BioSF also organizes and hosts special Symposia, including those in 2002-04 on Drug Metabolism and Toxicology in Drug Discovery. For a number of years we have also hosted symposia for the USPTO Technology Center 1600 (Biotechnology, Chemistry and Pharmaceuticals).

Your sponsorship of the BioScience Forum can provide your company with a high level of name recognition and visibility among life sciences professionals in the SF Bay Area, as detailed on our Sponsorship Fact Sheet. I hope that you will support this valuable and unique resource for Bay Area Life Sciences professionals. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss this further and answer any questions. Thank you very much for your interest.
